Job Description

Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics (CIMA) is part of the Global Marketing & Sales organization within Disney Parks, Experiences & Consumer Products (DPECP). CIMA influences decision making with integrated, objective, and actionable insights. Within CIMA, the Marketing Analytics & Insights (MAI) team provides objective assessments of DPECP marketing to inform strategy, understand performance, optimize investment, and maximize business impact.

The Senior Marketing Insights Analyst must possess a passion for analytics. This individual will act as a key advocate for the benefits data and analytics can drive throughout the organization. The person must be comfortable working with data, collaborating with partners, conducting analyses, designing experiments, preparing reports, and communicating insights. This individual will be leveraging a broad spectrum of marketing, media, and sales data to develop reporting and analysis to support decision making for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts lines of businesses. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Digital Media Analytics and will be based in Glendale, CA.


The Senior Marketing Insight Analyst’s key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Design and execute media tests (A/B, multivariate), collect and analyze data, identify insights and trends
  • Design effective and impactful reports and visualizations that show media performance
  • Provide ad hoc analysis focused on digital media topics to guide optimization and establish best practices
  • Set-up and conduct on-going data QA to ensure data used for reporting and analysis is accurate
  • Provide data support for regularly scheduled meetings and presentations and ad hoc requests
  • Conduct data analysis and mine data to find opportunities and insights
  • Create presentations to highlight recommendations and tell the story
  • Identify and document data requirements and processes to support both ongoing and ad hoc analysis
  • Learn new data sets to develop an expertise in those data sets
  • Partner with Managers to look for new opportunities to leverage data within Marketing and Media to enable decision making

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of marketing analytics experience
  • Passion for analytics, marketing, and media
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient with business intelligence tools such as Tableau
  • Experience working with marketing, paid media, CRM, digital, and social media data and developing campaign reporting
  • Understanding of direct response, performance marketing, and online customer acquisition
  • Familiarity with ad-serving and web analytics tools (Google Campaign Manager/DCM/AdWords, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics/Omniture, etc.) 

  • Experience with test design and execution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of marketing analytics experience
  • Prior experience with marketing/advertising technologies (e.g., Data Management Platforms, Multi-touch Attribution, Demand Side Platforms, Programmatic Buying, etc.)
  • Prior experience with big data environments
  • Proficient with Hive, SQL, MySQL, SAS, and/or R programming languages
  • Familiarity with digital ad effectiveness research
  • Prior knowledge of internal Disney data and databases

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with preferred concentration in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Finance, or an analytics field

Preferred Education

  • MBA or Advanced degree in an analytics field
