Consumer Insight, Measurement, and Analytics (CIMA) is an organization within Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Global Marketing & Sales responsible for informing strategy development and decision-making. It does this by taking a holistic, objective and integrated view of the business, as well as marketing and sales programs, and delivering actionable data analytics, synthesis, and insights.

The Senior Marketing Insights Analyst must possess a passion for analytics. This individual will act as a key advocate for the benefits data and analytics can drive throughout the organization. The person must be comfortable working with partners, conducting analyses, preparing reports, and communicating insights. This individual will be leveraging a broad spectrum of marketing, media, and sales data to develop new reporting and analysis capabilities to support decision making for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts lines of businesses. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Marketing Analytics & Insights and will be based in Orlando, FL.


The Senior Marketing Insight Analyst’s key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Own the existing marketing taxonomy within Disney Parks that is used to tie disparate sources of data together, including the maintenance, road map and implementation.
  • Work with business partners to determine media analytic needs and requirements
  • Identify and document data requirements to support both ongoing and ad hoc analysis
  • Learn new data sets to develop an expertise in those data sets
  • Partner with data providers to document and automate data processes
  • Set up QA processes to ensure data accuracy
  • Provide data support for regularly scheduled meetings and presentations
  • Find marketing opportunities and mitigate risks by mining data and conducting data analyses
  • Influence business and marketing decisions based on data findings
  • Create presentations to highlight recommendations and tell the story

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of analytical experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient with querying databases such as Hive, MSSQL, MySQL, SAS
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, complex, and ambiguous business environment
  • Demonstrated attentiveness to detail
  • Proven team player and strong partnering skills
  • Demonstrated proactive problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver work on time
  • Demonstrated ability to apply statistical rigor to analyses
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking ability
  • Ability to develop clear and concise thoughts into proposals, recommendations, and findings

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of analytical experience
  • Prior knowledge of internal Disney data and databases
  • Prior experience with marketing, paid media, CRM, digital, and/or social media data
  • Prior experience with big data environments
  • Prior experience with DMP and marketing/media technologies
  • Prior experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with preferred concentration in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or an analytics field

Preferred Education

  • MBA or Advanced degree in an analytics or mathematics field
