In Commercial Strategy, Insights, and Analytics, we are internal consultants to key functions across the business, including Hilton’s Customer, Brands, Marketing, Digital, Revenue, and Sales organizations, with specialized support for the executive leadership team. The team consists of both embedded authorities who serve as strategic advisors to key partners and technical specialists who are proficient in advanced analytics techniques and tools. The team is integrated with the business functions to ensure close partnership and to optimally measure and drive company performance.

What will I be doing?

The Channel Analytics team provides both day-to-day tactical support and strategic analyses to connect, measure, and optimize business performance and customer satisfaction across the guest journey. You will be telling data and performance stories across multiple data sets. Critical success factors will include adapting to a fast-paced, ambiguous, and changing business environment. The role will partner with business stakeholders to address and prioritize measurement, reporting, and dashboards.

More specifically, you will:

  • Analyze data and metrics for channel data that involves multiple data sources (Adobe, Microstrategy).
  • Comfort with communicating data stories that include multiple sources of data.
  • Additional platforms and data sources may be introduced (e.g. Kipsu).
  • Perform end-to-end support of tracking and implementation for Channel/Digital Experiences.
  • Document tracking requirements for messaging bugs and updates.
  • Design data collection strategies and new analytics measurements for digital (e.g. Adobe Analytics).
  • Support hypotheses and prepare analysis of testing/optimizing Customer Experiences
  • Partner with teams across the enterprise, specifically within Analytics and the digital, property, and contact center space, to understand and support initiatives
  • Understand what happens when content changes
  • Monitor and test when new features are introduced (e.g. main menus)
  • Provide insights into what works vs. doesn't, Pre vs. Post analysis

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of professional experience
  • One (1) year of Analytics experience
  • Experience with data QA, data pulling, data manipulation
  • Experience debugging and validating digital measurement is working as expected
  • Experience capturing business and technical requirements to support analytics goals
  • Expertise in a coding language such as SQL, Hive, Alteryx, R, SAS, or Python
  • Experience with MS Office suite and business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy or Tableau
  • Attention to detail including a focus on analytics documentation (e.g., data definitions, variable map)

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical subject area
  • Experience reviewing business and technical specifications
